Penguin presents a marvellous new recording of Roald Dahl's The Twits, read by IT Crowd star Richard Ayoade. The audiobook features original music.
Mr Twit is a foul and smelly man with bits of cornflake and sardine in his beard. Mrs Twit is a horrible old hag with a glass eye. They've kept Muggle-Wump monkeys caged in the garden for far too long, and now the monkeys want to take their revenge....

"Fun and Enjoyable Listen!"
I remember reading this in primary school, and since I was (and still am) a fan of Roald Dahl's work, I thought I would re-live some of my childhood.
Very funny and enjoyable story that lasts just under an hour which I listened to whilst out for an evening walk. Definitely recommended for children of primary school age, and those that want to re-live a bit of nostalgia. Also, entertaining narration from Richard Ayoade.
"love it. Brilliant for anyone of any age."
I'm 30 and listen while taking my exercise. A nice change of tempo for the exercise.
"Silence on the school run"
Recently my eight year old nephew has been listening to audio books with me in the car on the way home from school. Normally he's a very chatty little man, but I put this audio book on for him and he loved it. I had silence in the car as he listened intently to the story and laughter when the funny bits came up. He now askes to listen to more stories.
absolutely loved sitting with my biy listening to this book always will be a classuc book my boy loved it also brought vack memorys from my chikdhiid
"My favourite childhood book"
I'm just about to turn 34... I've lost count how many times I read this as a child and now already how many times I've listened to it on my long commute home.
Richard Ayoade is a wonderful reader, he brings this fantastic story to life. Even now I'm urging the birds and monkeys to win the battle, cue *air punch*
Everything, he is absolutely superb
I love the twits reminded me of when I was a kid too haha great laugh
we think that it was very funny mum said it was very well written and we agree l olso thought that Mrs twit voice was very funny
Richard Ayoade brings this book to life, my girls love it! :-) "Because it's worms!" Is their favourite bit!
"Good but not brilliant"
My four year old son loves this, as much for the music as for the story. The story of the Twits is well known and we had already read it together which helped. I'm not sure Richard Ayoade is quite charismatic enough to pull this one off to a 5 star finish but he certainly does a good job of making Mr Twit sound as disgusting as Roald Dahl intended him to be. Thoroughly enjoyable and we didn't mind listening to it twice in a row on the way to Devon.
I think Richard Ayoade is great. The children like him too! You already know the story!
