I love this book!

I read this book about 10 years ago and fell in love with the storyline. When I found it on audible, I was thrilled but cautious. I am always tentative of listening to audio books because sometimes I feel the reader doesn’t capture the full story. With this reader, I was fully engaged!! They did such a great job with different accents and bringing up suspense. I am so glad I chose this book on audible.

You Have To Love Sci-Fi

Although I am not the biggest Sci-Fi fan, I did enjoy Eoin Colfer's "Artemis Fowl" series immensely and thought that I would give this book a chance. I liked it. The story was really out there! I definately hope that this is not our future. But if it is, I hope the Supernaturalist are around to help us. I would recommend the book to children over the age of 12. There are some very adult issues (death, battle, and legal mistreatment of orphans). There is a very exciting twist near the end - I won't give it away - but it was a big, unexpected twist. I would recommend to others (over 12 of course). I would also highly recomment Eoin Colfer's "Artemis Fowl" series. Delightful series for all ages. I dare say better than Harry Potter!

Good Listen

I got this book for the kids and decided to see how it was compared to Artemis Fowl. I thought it was a good book with a lot to it. You have to excuse some of technology stuff which I didn't find very believable (although some of it was pretty cool). But, thought it was a great book for teens. I could see this being a movie without too much change to it and a good one at that. Take a listen!

beautiful story, wonderfully read

Chiwetel Ejiofor does a wonderful reading and the story is seamless. The characters are easy to distinguish by voice alone. I have read the book many times and listening to it brought it to life

I loved this book as a teen and had been looking for it for years, thanks to Kindle, and audible I was able to listen to it and read.

AMAZING,FUN and AWESOME READ!

I had started this last year but then I got busy and I couldn't finish it. But I am finally able to finish this book and it was just as AWESOME and AMAZING as when I started it! This is such a FUNNY and LIGHT and just A FEEL GOOD Book. That I will always want to come back to it when I need a good boost of FUN and LIGHT reading! I highly recommend it! AWESOME, AMAZING, BRILLIANT and EPIC! A MUST READ!

I really enjoyed it !

I thought this was a fun listen, and I enjoyed the narrator's voice. This is one parents and kids can listen to together. Will definitely look for other books by this author.

Love this author and his style of writing. This is quite different from the Artemis Fowl series, but is a delightful change.

oldie but goodie

I remembered almost nothing of this book from when I was a kid, other than the main character has a rubbage life, and one of the plot twists. 💚💚💚💚 I'm not much for sci-fi, preferring fantasy, but this book has me hooked. It's dystopian for sure, with a fair balance of humor and skepticism. It was clearly written for the kids that grew up with Artemis Fowl, and have hit the teenage Angst years. The character development is strong, and the characters, though in an extreme we have not reached (yet) have layers of relatability. I'm so happy to be riding the nostalgia train in my reading lately.
