Publisher's summary

In book two of the series, the Sisters Grimm start school at Ferryport Landing Elementary. Daphne's lucky enough to get Snow White for a teacher - she loves little people - but poor Sabrina's stuck with Mr. Grumpner and a class of mildly psychotic sixth graders. When Mr. Grumpner is found hanging in a spider's web, it is up to the Grimms to find the Everafter who did it. If only Sabrina can get over her distrust of all fairy-tale folk. But how can she trust those who just might be responsible for the disappearance of her parents?

Very funny!!

This is book 2, start with The Fairy Tales Detectives: The Sisters Grimm as book 1.

You have got to listen to these with your kids. Beware! This story ends abruptly without a resolution. You MUST get The Problem Child: The Sisters Grimm to have on hand. You won't be able to stop! These are so punk rock! (you'll get this comment once you start the series)

Fun story, but have breathing was distracting.

I'm becoming a fan of the Sisters Grimm stories, but the narrator's character affectations could use some work. At times it was difficult to tell which European accent was meant to represent which character, and gender affectations were even worse. Obviously narrating a book requires breathing, I didn't expect it to require heavy breathing into the recording equipment.

The Sisters Grimm Review

The book is great! I love it! One of my favorite book series ever! I definitely suggest it for nine-year olds and older. It is a fairytale mystery book, with drama, appropriate violence for the age group and some romance. The romance is just kissing and people getting married. You should totally READ IT if you haven't!!!

Fun Tour of Ferry Port Landing Elementary School

What did you love best about The Sisters Grimm?

What I enjoy most about The Sisters Grimm is the vividness of the characters. The entire story--as presumably it is in all of the other books--is told from Sabrina's perspective (the oldest Sister Grimm) and the emotional turmoil that she goes through in the story extended from the first book is well portrayed and, I think, could be a good teaching tool for young listeners. For example, Sabrina has a hard time trusting other "ever afters" because she knows that one of them kidnapped her parents. Her Granny Relda tries to help her see past her angry bigotry and in the end she learns some important lessons.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I think the book would be more enjoyable if it didn't end on such an awful cliffhanger! (No, it's still good. Listen to this book)

Which scene was your favorite?

The scene where Puck is admonishing his "troupes" is hysterical! I also love the first time the girls step into Puck's room.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

6th Grade is always hard, but for Sabrina, it could be monstrous!

Any additional comments?

You may want to buy book 3 so you can continue the story soon since this one ends on quite a cliffhanger!

Fairy Tales come to life

In this book two sisters meet fairy tale characters and find out that they are not always how the story portrays them. The girls are funny and brave. They don't always do what they are told to do. This is a fun book for a tween or grown-up with a playful spirit.
