Just plain good story
Family friendly.. great characters.. some hateable people to keep it interesting...

Wholesome coming-of-age story
I homeschool my kids, and we have a segment entitled, “Book Club”, where we listen to audiobooks, and discuss the chapters that we’d listened to, on said day. I really enjoyed watching their reactions to certain parts; and they always had plenty to say about the characters, whenever it was their turn to speak! They’d even shared what they thought would happen in the next few chapters, to specific characters, whenever we’d end the time on a cliffhanger! Awesomely heartfelt story!

The narrator’s voice was not my favorite but eventually I learned to like it. She spoke clear and tried to make characters voice distinctive.
