National Book Award, Young People's Literature, 2005The Penderwick Sisters are home on Gardam Street and ready for an adventure! But the adventure they get isn't quite what they had in mind. Mr. Penderwick's sister has decided it's time for him to start dating, and the girls know that can only mean one thing: disaster. Enter the Save-Daddy Plan, a plot so brilliant, so bold, so funny that only the Penderwick girls could have come up with it. It's high jinks, big laughs, and loads of family warmth as the Penderwicks triumphantly return.

"This is a book to cherish and to hold close like a warm, cuddly blanket that you draw around yourself to keep out the cold." (School Library Journal)
I love the penderwicks and have read the whole serous MANY TIMES. It is such a great story that you will never get tired of. I wish there was more books to the series ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I really loved this book! I listen to it constantly, and start over when I finish it. This book I think everyone should read, because it is really realistic and it's just really fabulous.
I know the author, who lives a half hour away from my house. I might be annoying her with how much we tell her that we love it. And Susan Denaker is AMAZING at the voices, especially Batty's. BUY IT. NOW.
Between Ms. Birdsall and Ms. Denaker, the listener is truly immersed and becomes one of the Pernderwicks. The novels thus far remind children that parents are a sign of authority and security but yet we are human. The love between each of the children and their father is tangible and always growing that there is enough room for to new family members.
This is an excellent book with tidy ends to stressful adventures! It is an excellent book to listen to during family time. We loved listening during our family road trip!
