When summer comes around, it's off to the beach for Rosalind... and off to Maine with Aunt Claire for the rest of the Penderwick girls, as well as their old friend, Jeffrey.
That leaves Skye as OAP (oldest available Penderwick) - a terrifying notion for all, but for Skye especially. Things look good as they settle into their cozy cottage, with a rocky shore, enthusiastic seagulls, a just-right corner store, and a charming next-door neighbor. But can Skye hold it together long enough to figure out Rosalind's directions about not letting Batty explode? Will Jane's Love Survey come to a tragic conclusion after she meets the alluring Dominic? Is Batty - contrary to all accepted wisdom - the only Penderwick capable of carrying a tune? And will Jeffrey be able to keep peace between the girls... these girls who are his second, and most heartfelt, family?
It's a rollicking ride as the Penderwicks continue their unforgettable adventures in a story filled with laughs and joyful tears!
Spend some more time with the Penderwicks.

Hi, my name is Kat and I'm addicted to books.
After a recommendation by a friend, I read all three Penderwicks' books with my daughter, who is 9. We loved them so much, we decided to try the audiobooks and were just as thrilled. The narrator was great, but sometimes it was tricky to hear which sister was which - I didn't have the same problem with the first two books, so I'm not sure what changed.
The Penderwicks are taking separate vacations for the first time ever. Mr. Penderwick, his new wife and son, are going to England for a conference/honeymoon. Rosalind, the oldest daughter, is going on a trip to New Jersey with her best friend. Skye, Jane and Batty are going to Maine with their Aunt Claire and dog, Hound - and their good friend, Jeffrey will meet them there.
How will Skye deal with being the OAP (Oldest Available Penderwick)? What adventures can be in store in Maine for the girls and Jeffrey? This book is funny, heartbreaking and just a good, innocent tale that is great for families. My daughter wants to be a Penderwick. :) Read and Enjoy!
