amazing narration, mixed results with the stories
I both enjoyed this series and struggled to finish. I loved the first five books, but the last two felt much weaker and less interesting. In some ways, I wish I had stopped before the last two books. But all the narrators were absolutely fantastic, and though I had some issues with some matters of the books, over all it was fun and enjoyable to listen to.

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is
one of my very favorite books. I read it to my four children many years ago and when I saw it on Audible, I was very happy to be able to listen to it. The story is timeless even though it zwas written in the WWII era and follows four children, Peter, Susan, Edmond and Lucy as they enter a “magic” wardrobe and enter the kingdom of Narnia where they have many adventures. Michael York is the narrator and was extremely good. ie: good strong voice, no stu

Absolutely Perfect!
Michael York was hands-down the most perfect narrator they could have chosen for this story! His performance enhanced the sense of wonder that this novel brings, and he did not miss a beat. Perfectly paced, wonderful voices, and his cadence was superb. As a life-time fan of the Narnia series, his performance makes me excited to listen to the rest of the series, which has an equally exciting team of narrators (Sir Patrick Stewart? Kenneth Branagh?! Yes please!)
