Publisher's summary

A dangerous few months lie ahead, ones which some of us will be hard-pressed to survive.

Thomas Ward has served as the Spook's apprentice for three years. He has battled boggarts, witches, demons, and even the devil himself. Tom has enemies: The Fiend stalks him, waiting for a moment of weakness. The terrifying Morrigan, goddess of witches, warned him never to step foot on her homeland, Ireland.

But now war has consumed their own country, and Tom, his friend Alice, and the Spook must flee to Ireland. The dark rages strongly there. No one can be trusted. Can Tom defeat the creatures that hunt him most fiercely?

Be Warned!

This is the exact same story as Spooks Destiney so dont waste your credit. Otherwise it is as good as all the others.

Great story, 1 letdown

The overall story was amazing and every second will have you on edge. the only complaint I have is that the big fight, with an unparalleled evil, seemed short, and easier than I had hoped for. There could have been a little more of a struggle when they fight the *spoiler*. But it was all over too quickly.

Constantly improving

As the tales goes on it is proving to only be better with each page. The growth of the characters and the trials they face, draw you in and cause worry and pride to surge through you. It is hard to tell which path either of them will take and what lay before them. To learn the answers to each rising question and nagging doubt, you are pressed to read on.

Loved this one

Christopher Evan Welch's performance is absolutely outstanding. His voices are incredible, he does atleast 30 throughout the series, all unique and great.

Not even close

This dull story and plodding narrator are well paired for the unsuspecting purchaser. An object lesson in not believing all of the reviews one reads. Purchase at your peril. I gave it several hours, but could not finish. May you fair better.

Is this the end of a good series?

Well, a new author but he's got the style & characters down pretty well -- I would never have suspected.

But: elsewhere on Audible I noticed "The Spook's Destiny," which according to the sample audio is the same book as "Rage of the Fallen" but without the credit to the coauthor. The really bad news is that it has a NEW NARRATOR (no longer Christopher Evan Welch). If Welch is not the reader, then count me out.

But thanks for a good run of eight or so books.

One of the few books

that grabs my attention and KEEPS it. The time just goes by too quickly and I'm left trying to figure out when the next one is coming out...and can I wait?

My only complaint is I heard the movie version will have an adults playing Tom and Alice...NO, NO, NO!

This series was recommended to me by someone who thought it better than the Potter books--and I agree.
