The fifth audiobook in Chris Colfer's number-one New York Times best-selling series, The Land of Stories!
In the highly anticipated continuation of the Land of Stories series, Conner learns that the only place to fight the Masked Man's literary army is inside his own short stories.
When the twins and their friends enter worlds crafted from Conner's imagination, the race begins to put an end to the Masked Man's reign of terror. Can the twins finally restore peace in the fairy tale world?

Ending absolutely sucks. It was an enjoyable read. He is a great Author and leaves you wanting more.
I spent only 2 days on this book. It's an amazing cliffhanger! I have listened to all the land of stories books and they are all just so awesome. I could write much more about this (In a good way)
I absolutely loved this book. Also, WHY Chris Colder WHY!! That ENDING! IT BROKE MY HEART!!!! Anyway, this book was amazing. Can't wait for the 6th one. 😂😂😢
So the book is GREAT!!! Well even more than great! But the endings of his books leave u literally wanting more!!! Like there's a whole crisis in the end and I literally CAN NOT wait until the 6th book!! Make more!!!! Book is AMAZING!!!!😭💕💕💖❤️👍🏻😍
Definitely! Mr Colfer's imagination, creativity and humor are spellbinding! As a 62 year old grandma I would honestly say that that this series is for all ages looking for a fun fantasy adventure!
I have listened to and enjoyed the entire "Land of Stories" series. Each one seems to be better than the last. I can't wait for the next installment
He brings each character to life through voice and intonation. He makes his "Fairytale World" so vivid that your imagination is swept into the story and setting. The humor, and characterization is voiced so as to have you shake your head in amazement or just simply laugh right out loud. Only he can best perform these books!
Oh, no movie please! This series is meant to be enjoyed only in book form, read to self or as a read aloud. A movie would hinder the reader's or listener's own imagination and enjoyment of the stories. Some things are meant to be left alone and enjoyed as is!
hard to keep up with the characters I loved having different characters to look at and stories and the offer other is great the reader needs learn more more depths and her different personalities speaking for them
My entire family loves the first 4 books but the author has strayed from what made them great. I won't give anything away but this book was different from the rest. I feel like this book was a stretch to make the series longer. We will purchase the 6th to finish the story (if the last one concludes the series?) but we were disappointed with this one.
As with the entire collection of The Land of Stories, An Author's Odyssey is a great read. It is a continuation of the story that follows the Bailey twins, who are from both the Fairy Tale World and the Other World (our world). Alex Bailey, who inherited the job as The Fairy Godmother after her Grandmother passed into full magic, is being targeted by the witches since she is the strongest fairy ever. Both Alex and Conner are trying to find a way to fight the literary army their evil uncle amassed to take over the Fairy Tale World. The story is fast paced and engaging. The frustrating part is waiting for the next book. Will it be another year? I hope not. This series is fantastic, but start with the first book, The Wishing Spell.
