Michael Buckley’s Sisters Grimm series was an instant hit and shot to the top of the New York Times best-seller list.
In their eighth adventure, sisters Sabrina and Daphne Grimm must face their gravest mission yet. The Everafter War is over, and the sisters find themselves trapped in the Book of Everafter—a place where fairy tale characters can affect their own destinies. While trying to save their baby brother, Sabrina and Daphne begin changing events in the story to suit their needs. But this puts them in the sights of the book’s guardian, the dangerous Editor, and his minions, the Revisers.

My son (age 8) and I have listened to the whole series. He loves it. I'm growing a little weary of it, only because it seems like the author is running out of ideas, so what he's actually coming up with is a bit tedious. But it's not for me, right? We LOVE the narrator. He does a wonderful job of creating specific voices for each character that remain consistent throughout the series. Puck is, of course, our favorite. He is the best-written character, and Mr. Ganser's interpretation of him has us howling.
Yes.The book is actually funny to me.
When mirror get in to Granny Raelda
When puck ate the poison apple
I didn't think about it.
I'm a mom. I have drama in my life. I don't want books with the F-bomb, nor graphic violence. I read for fun and to bring my family together. I read for reducing stress levels. We have never had a television in our home and our children are now mid twenties to 19. We listen together and look for belly-wrenching laughter. So what is it like to live without a TV? Awesomely educational and inspirational. Each new book is a marvel.
This book seemed to drag on and just did fit the faster pace of the whole series. We would have to say that immediately after listening that this book was our least favorite in the whole series. I'm reviewing this after finishing book 9, which is the last book. Book 8 was definitely needed but at the time just seemed to be too slow to fit the overall pace set by books 1-7.
Please do listen, the narration is great and this book is needed so book 9 can wrap up perfectly.
