As they explore London, however, they discover more about themselves as clues about the children's and Penelope's mysterious past crop up in the most unexpected ways.

The Sequel: Part 2 of the Incorrigible Children.

Once again I enjoyed the exploits of the three children, originally raised by wolves, & their governess "Miss Lumley", or "Lumaroooo" as the children call her.

However, read Part 1 before beginning this one, as it is a continuation of the original story. And, by the sound of the ending, there will be a Part 3 eventually, as the mystery of the children's, & their governess', origins have not yet been revealed.

Their escapades in London are both interesting & funny, but possibly not quite as interest-holding as those of Ashton Place, in Book 1.

Once again the narrator, Katherine Kellgren, is superb in the various roles.

A good listen.

Great story, help with some volume and voices

Enjoyed the story. The performance was pretty good, however the Judge Quincy performance volume was too low and not completely understandable at times. It was hard to adjust the volume for the different characters. Having said that the story is fun for children.

What A Fun Series!

I'm having great fun listening to this book series, even as an adult!

One of the things I really enjoy is the way the author doesn't 'play down' or insult the intelligence of the young reader. When a word or event needs more explanation, one is given, usually in a very funny way!

I absolutely love the narrator! I so enjoy Ms Kellgren's narration of the Her Royal Spyness series, I looked for other books she did! That's how I came upon this series! Another great performance!

Captivating

This book is engaging and mysterious. My 8-year-old daughter and I are captivated by this series. The reader’s voices are spot-on.

Wonderful story

Loved it! I found myself not wanting to stop listening! And now that that I've finished I can't wait to get to Book #3!

Another happy story of the Incorrigables

This second volume was very enjoyable, perhaps not as much as the first book, but still lots of fun. It skewers the Victorian aristocracy and continues the mystery of the relationships between characters. I do hope the next book(s) start to solve that issue, as I'm not sure how long it can be drawn out and still keep my interest.

Once again, the narration was spot on with a lot of tongue-in-cheek humor. The voices were done well, if a little annoying, but I think that was the object, yes?

I will definitely continue with this series.

An absolute delight

This series is on par with the classic Jeeves and Wooster series, if jeezes had been the narrator and if Bertie had been tripled, and raised by wolves. It is silly and whimsical and uplifting.
The narrators style is pitch perfect for the series, and I'm terribly disappointed they have not produced the 4th audiobook, although I will endeavor to read them to myself in her voice.
Truly a classic for all ages!

YOU'RE NOT WHERE YOU WERE, AND YOU NOT WHERE YOUR

GOING, SO PAY ATTENTION
I know, I am not being OPTOOMUCHSTIC by saying you will greatly enjoy this book. You want to read book one first, which I loved, but I liked this book even better. The story is sweet, silly, funny, LOL and a must. I can't wait for my granddaughters to get old enough to listen to books without pictures. When they can read they will each get copies of this series. All five books for all five granddaughters. This is a book for all ages. Yes, I am talking to you so don't get the WHO ME, SYNDROME.

Who are Penelope's parents, who are the kids parents, where they dumped in the woods or stolen, are their werewolves at Ashton Place and more. DO YOU BELIEVE IN THE SUPERNATURAL? This book also gets a little more mysterious.

THE MOOD IN THE NURSERY HAD BEGUN TO CURDLE
I was almost in HIGH DUDGEON when I clicked INCORRIGIBLE CHILDREN series and only two books popped up, but when I clicked MAYROSE WOOD, I found Audible had five of the books. I will be purchasing those books.

TEN PARTS TALKING IS HALF AS MUCH AS ON PART DOING
KELLGREN really makes this story come alive. Just as book one, she is very animated.

The greatest book ever!!!!!!!

This was an amazing adventure with the Incorrigibles and Miss Lumly, with an even deeper story than the last.

2nd Installment of Fun and inventiveness!

Finishing the second book has me 'howling' for the next! A lot of fun for all ages.
Miss Lumley discovers more intrigue where she and the children are concerned, as well as a gypsy fortuneteller, a musical play, pirates, a secret at the British Museum and much more!
