"Painless long car journeys with two young boys!"
These books were my favourite when I was a child and I've loved listening to them all over again as brought to life by Kate Winslet. My children also love them and roared laughing particularly at the deaf old Saucepan Man and we've been on several very long journeys without the usual squabbles and mithering. Highly recommend.
"Enthralling for my 6 year old"
Very good and lovely. I like all the faraway tree books.
- Jack, aged 6
A book he preferred to watching TV. We often heard squeals of excitement as he listened. Kate Winslet's narration was excellent.
This is a really lovely, magical story for adults and children, which is beautifully read.
"Perfect for the car"
The kids loved it, and husband and I had forgotten how trippy some of the stories are. Good wholesome fun, and Kate Winslet is a lovely narrator, it certainly helped along some very long car journeys.
This book is well read, me and my Granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed it.
Will listen to them all again. Great stuff.
"Best book like ever"
I have very much enjoyed this book I would recommend this book! Best book ever!
"Brought back child hood memories"
yes with my granddaughter, it brought back child hood memories of long nights reading the whole set of books. My granddaughter is only 3 so enjoyed listening to the story whilst playing with her dolls house.
moon face and pop biscuit's, was always my favourite as a child
This bit I found a bit hard to get used to as had in my head how the characters sounded
I'm happy to have these downloaded so I can keep for my future grandchildren to listen to and can be listened to again and again especially when nanny is tired
brilliantlly narrated, a perfect bed time story. so imaginative and enthralling you find yourself looking forward to going to bed. would definitely recommend.
"Excellent book for kids, and adults will enjoy it"
It's the next book after the enchanted wood. Wonderful fantasy lands and great characters.
Kate Winslet is a fabulous narrator.
I read Enid Blyton as a child, I'm so pleased to be revisiting this with my children. They love her stories just as much as I do.
Beautifully read if only Kate Winslet had read the fourth and final in the series
