Such is the story of the sisters in The Farm Girls' Revenge, who dreamed up various ways to discourage their attentive neighbor boys.

Gertrude and Mary lived in Kansas in the early 1900s. Being the attractive young women they were, they often attracted the attention of the local farm boys, though some of these boys were less than desirable. Author Roberta Seiwert Lampe presents the story of how Gertrude and Mary, on more than one occasion, introduce these boys to The Farm Girls' Revenge. From driving their wagon into the farm pond to covering their seats in molasses, these girls always have the upper hand.
