"Kinney's spot-on humor and winning formula of deadpan text ... are back in full force." (Publishers Weekly)
I bought this for my son. He is ten and not the keenest reader, but he adores these books. He has actually read them all and now is loving having them to listen to before he goes to sleep. So what I love about this audio is that it is helping my son to develop a love of literature.
It makes him laugh and he likes to share anecdotes with me from the audio as well as having me listen to section with him. It also is entertaining and educational and means that he is doing something that is not a computer based activity.
Realistic accent. Engages the reader, It is lively and humorous.
My son listened to sections each night. It was difficult to get him to realise he had to turn it off and go to sleep.
I think the more children's/ young adult literature that is put on audio the better. We wish there were more Whimpy Kids written. I would thoroughly recommend these books to all parents, especially the parents of reluctant young male reader. I believe they will enjoy the audio so much that they will want to read the novels
My kids and I love these books. The narrator isn't trying to be a Renaissance Fair performer - he is just reading it with a hint of dryness. It is easy to listen and laugh to for anyone who enjoys potty humor, kids being a bit naughty, and everyone embarrassing themselves.
Yes I would because it is a great book with a great plot audible.com is a great job sound quality and the narrator is great.
Greg helfly because he has a good sense of humor and he
does funny things in his life.
Rollie Jefferson because he always makes him sound funny.
The movie that is on everybody's bucket list diary of a wimpy kid last straw.
Thank you audible.com for putting this great book o your website and thank you to Ramon Dale Ocampo for being the best narrator for the book we all love this book it is one of our favorites and will be Cheras and listen to time and time again this is a great fine thank you for all that you done to make this book right on thank you Jeff Kinney for writing this book and all it's been much enjoyed.
Nice book! Great for kids and teens alike. My 11 year-old loves the series and can't get enough of it! The narrator was great and really made it seem like Greg Heffley was telling the story. I recommend this to anyone who wants a funny, interesting book.
de Ocampo's reading is pitch perfect. Brought the stories to life. We bought the entire series. Highly recommended if you like the Diary series.
I'm an Egyptian, and I'm learning English. My goal is to be fluent and I believe it's not easy so I decided to begin reading books especially kids books that use easy language to immerse myself in English, This book makes me laugh and have interesting time, the most important it's kind of simulation of living in America because the events and culture in the book.. finally this book has variety of situation that can help me build many vocabularies, phrasal verbs, and idioms.
as an English learner, I can't listen to this all in one sitting not because the book isn't interesting, but because I'm not that good with English.
Too long could be shorter recommended for 9-11 or possibly 5-7 good though f u n
