It was up the azalea bank, through the privet hedge and across the orchard, and they were hiding from humans and being attached by insects. But at last they found a new home and adapted themselves superbly to mid-field conditions. It was harder work in every way than under-floor borrowing, but to Arrietty the life was enchanting.
