Publisher's summary

Percy Jackson isn't expecting freshman orientation to be any fun. But when a mysterious mortal acquaintance appears on campus, followed by demon cheerleaders, things quickly move from bad to worse.

In this latest installment of the blockbuster series, time is running out as war between the Olympians and the evil Titan lord, Kronos, draws near. Even the safe haven of Camp Half-Blood grows more vulnerable by the minute as Kronos' army prepares to invade its once impenetrable borders. To stop the invasion, Percy and his demigod friends must set out on a quest through the Labyrinth - a sprawling underground world with stunning surprises at every turn.

Full of humor and heart-pounding action, this audiobook promises to be their most thrilling adventure yet.

My kids (11,9, 7) could barely unplug themselves from this series.

ready for book 5!!

Would you consider the audio edition of The Battle of the Labyrinth: Percy Jackson, Book 4 to be better than the print version?

I guess so. I haven't read the print version so I really can't compare the two.

What did you like best about this story?

This book had to be my favorite, it had soo much going on it was great. It had all the characters and new ones that brought different excitement to the whole story line.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Grover finally found Pan

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The whole scene with Pan and Grover. and then the end scene when the guy who built the labrath finally released his soul to death..

Any additional comments?

None.

What is going on with Jesse Bernstein

The story is excellent but I cannot say the same for Jesse Bernstein’s performances in this series. He is inconsistent in his voices, his inflection is awkward most of the time, and he has a very limited range of voices he can do. This is especially prevalent in his voicing of the side character campers who all sound like Clarisse in different wigs. Other than that, his pacing is good and his voice acting for characters like Percy and Grover is decent.

Good Story, Mediocre Narration

the narrator doesn’t always seem to know what he’s reading, and is occasionally off key (emotionally). he also tends towards stereotyping the voices of non-caucasian characters; particularly asians and latinos.

What in Hades name...

Look, I love Rick Riordan’s writing, but this voice actor is no good. I can’t listen to this anymore. My plan was to get the Percy Jackson books to listen to while I did chores and stuff but he literally pronounced almost every god name wrong and it was just too irritating when they’re said over and over and over again. Are they not allowed to look up pronunciation? Who taught this person? I can’t listen anymore. 😣

It's a great book any way but the narritive gives it that little slit to the favorite book in my mind

Great Book, but...

It really is a good book but some of the voices just don't make any sense. Now the chapter "I Fight to the Death with my Brother" was a good chapter but Percy's brother (can't remember his name) had this little thing where at the end of every sentence would make a weird sound and that annoyed me. This may just be opinion to some people but to me (and I'm sure that the majority of you will agree with me) that's not how I imagined it. Once or twice? That's ok. Every single last sentence? Not so much.
