In the fourth book of this engrossing series, trouble besets Will and Evanlyn as they attempt to return to Araluen from the icebound land of Skandia. Evanlyn is taken captive, and two kingdoms fall into ultimate peril.

The book and the narrator did a good job. It is a young readers book but it was a good escape for me to listen to on my way to and from work. The series is comfortable and I will listen to one in between heavier listening books.
Estate planning lawyer and mom to two boys. My older son liked audiobooks as an infant, and I've listened to a lot since then.
The Ranger's Apprentice series, both the story and narration, are among my favorites of the books I have listened to with my children. And this is one of our favorites in the series.
The reunion of the main characters.
All of the scenes with Halt are wonderful. He is a funny character and his relationships with the younger characters are perfect.
I'm always looking for books that are suitable to listen to with my 11 year old son (and sometimes his older brother) that I can tolerate or even enjoy. This series is just amazing in that regard. I have enjoyed the storyline, the characters, and the narrator as much as my son. For both of us, these books are our favorites to put on. I'll be sad when the series is over.
A Book Addict who found she could clean house and get her book fix with audio books.
John Flannagan puts together a wonderful world of adventure with characters you care about and challenges that require unique strengths. Similar to Harry Potter only in that you get to watch the heros and heroines grow from children into adults to be proud of. I reccommend it for anyone.
Great series that teaches the values of honor, responsibility, team work, and standing up for those in need.
Nv Native American, 1 room school house, hi school of 30, Raised 4-2& 2 ala Brady Bnch, lv audio books, home bound widow. M happy. Thnx AB.
I'm sure there's disappointed listeners that regret Will's total focus on becoming a Ranger and ignoring the "highest born lady of the land" but the duo have accomplished so much: treaties to protect home; eliminated powerful enemies; overcome addiction; and In the princesses part, learned to survive and be dependent on one's self. Having fudged and read next book's summary, this series will be off the chart by its conclusion! I'm sure we're going to be blasted about YA, Youthful top of the charts, icon to America's youth
