Penguin presents Roald Dahl's The BFG, read by actor, writer, and Britain's Got Talent judge David Walliams. This audiobook features original music and sound design by Pinewood film studios.
The BFG is a nice and jumbly giant. In fact, he is the only big friendly giant in Giant Country. All the other giants are big bonecrunching brutes, and now the BFG and his friend Sophie must stop them guzzling up little human beans - with some help from Her Majester, the Queen.
David Walliams is a multi-award winning British comedian, actor, and writer, best known for the comedy series Little Britain; but his acting work includes plays, dramas, and films. He is also the author of five hugely successful children's books, including two illustrated by Quentin Blake - Roald Dahl's favourite illustrator.

"The best book ever"
I am 8 and I love all the Roald Dahl books!
It was really well read and I listened to it in 3 days. I had to keep asking my mummy for her I pad to listen to the rest.
Loved this book as a child and it is still brilliant. Well read and even the sound effects helped with the flow of the story. Worth a listen.
This is the best book I ever read!!
It was really well written and read. Wow can books get any better.
"So Much Fun"
This is a wondefarisfantastical story. It is such fun and made me laugh out loud many times. The characters are just so loveable and the occasional sound effects really add to the story. It's an easy story to listen to again because I want to go on the adventure again.
It is impossible not to love The BFG and Sophie. Their innocence is endearing and they teach each other different things about the way they live their lives, which is lovely.
David Walliams is born to narrate stories. He is absolutely fantastic and has such a marvellous range of different voices, he really made the story come to life and really takes you on this adventure with the characters - no-one could have done this better - I'd like to hear him narrate an adult's book, I think he could put the chill into a thriller. I will certainly be downloading other books he has narrated.
Like so often when you are reading a great book (or it's being read to you) you want to get to the end to know the complete story but then there is a sadness that it is over and the characters you've grown to love are gone - that's how I felt with the ending of this book. Without spoiling the story there was a very tender moment between The BFG and Sophie when he leaves her on the window ledge - so sweet.
I can't recommend this book highly enough - it's just brilliant. O yes and by the way - I'm 55 years of age but it made me feel like I was 10 again!!
"Great for kids to adults"
We listened to this on a family day out and everyone from 5 to 50 loved it. The story is a classic and David Walliams give a great performance.
