Captured by a giant!
The BFG is no ordinary bone-crunching giant. He is far too nice and jumbly. It's lucky for Sophie that he is. Had she been carried off in the middle of the night by the Bloodbottler, or any of the other giants - rather than the BFG - she would have soon become breakfast. When Sophie hears that the giants are flush-bunking off to England to swollomp a few nice little chiddlers, she decides she must stop them once and for all. And the BFG is going to help her!

I read this story as a child and loved it! Now I had the great pleasure of listening to this story with my son who in turn loved it as much as I did! The narration was brilliant and was made even better by the frequent sound effects! The story was just as thrilling to listen to as I remembered! I believe we have found a family road trip favorite!

no, read it with my classes
I love listening to good stories to and from work.
The story of course is great, but the narrator . . . . wow! So much talent. My boys, and I, listen to this quite often.
Lots of humor and very creative.
He brings to life all the characters in a way few can. So many different voices. Absolutely loved his narration.
Excellent narration of a childhood classic. He doesn't just read the story; he really uses his voice dynamics to bring it alive. Some sound effects to round it out but not excessive. Listened to this with my kids (ages 9 and 11) and they loved it!
