This thrilling audiobook brings to life in vivid detail the ultimate doggie adventure about a lost dog who becomes a hero. What makes this story unique is that it was inspired by the author's real life Maltese dog, an animal actor, who performed in several operas at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City.
Tails of Jaxx, with its introduction to French, is an ideal first chapter book for developing readers and a stimulus for creative writing, music, and art projects.
Meet Jaxx, a happy-go-lucky New York City dog, whose life is suddenly turned topsy-turvy when he gets lost during a blizzard. Wrenched away from his human family, alone, shivering, and struggling to survive, he is rescued and taken in by strangers at the Metropolitan Opera.
Follow Jaxx as he tells his story while bravely coping with the challenges of adapting to living in an unfamiliar environment inside the opera house. He meets a lively cast of colorful characters, including other animals, but longs to be reunited with his family. He performs heroic deeds and encounters situations that are filled with surprises, both good and bad.
Root for Jaxx, as he fulfills his new dream of performing on stage at the Metropolitan Opera.

The inside view of being Jaxx, really cute perspective!!
From the very beginning, the story pulls you into the world of Jaxx and it is a very enjoyable story to listen to.
Great short story, I am pretty sure if this was a whole novel it would have still been very enjoyable. I think this story if fun for both children and adult.

The life and adventures of a Maltese dog in New York from the dogs point of view. Wonderfully whimsical. My sister had a Maltese growing up and she would have lived this story immensely. Highly recommend it. Well written and well narrated. I received this audiobook from the author narrator or publisher for free via audiobookboom in exchange for an unbiased review

I wish my kids were still little, because they would love this book. Jaxx is so cute! I will have this for young visitors!
The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Andrea Emmes does such a sweet doggy voice.
The narrator sounded like someone you would see at the opera. Her dramatic intonation made it very enjoyable for my kids and me.
This is one of the stories I rotate at bedtime with my kids. my girls both love this story and the way it is portrayed by the narrator. I often lay with them for a bit until they get drowsy. I am not a big fan of the actual story but the narrator is very good and my kids love the plot so it works out great. I received a copy from the author or narrator for my honest evaluation.
