It's a murder mystery on the moon in this humorous and suspenseful space adventure from the author of Belly Up and Spy School.
Like his fellow lunarnauts - otherwise known as Moonies - living on Moon Base Alpha, twelve-year-old Dashiell Gibson is famous the world over for being one of the first humans to live on the moon.
And he's bored out of his mind. Kids aren't allowed on the lunar surface, meaning they're trapped inside the tiny moon base with next to nothing to occupy their time - and the only other kid Dash's age spends all his time hooked into virtual reality games.
Then Moon Base Alpha’s top scientist turns up dead. Dash senses there's foul play afoot, but no one believes him. Everyone agrees Dr. Holtz went onto the lunar surface without his helmet properly affixed, simple as that. But Dr. Holtz was on the verge of an important new discovery, Dash finds out, and it's a secret that could change everything for the Moonies - a secret someone just might kill to keep.

This book is a really good book. With my family being fans of murder she wrote, Colombo, psych, etc. The book is a good book but what makes it even better because the author took in mind the young readers like myself and they don't need a bloody murder book for the mark twain nominees. So I like it and can't wait to read the second book. Spaced Out
I loved how the story took place on the moon and that is was just so interesting I recommend this book to all.
I the whole moon base alpha direction and how the murderer was hard to find. If you read this book picture yourself on the moon as dash and don't let anyone spoil it.
Narrator was fantastic. My 8 year old daughter loved the story and could have listened to it in one sitting. I imagine reading it would be as fun as listening.
The last chapter.
We can't wait for the next Moon Base Alpha story!
This book is a tire masterpiece Gibbs made a humorous mystery with interesting Technology with a great plot and setting.well done 5 stars great book
But using a lot of Audible as I do, I am especially pleased with this title. Great juvenile science fiction. In fact, my number one complaint about audiobooks in generally are irritating narrators. But I loved this one. :)
Dash is one of the first humans to live on the moon, but it's not exactly the most exciting place in the universe, until someone is murdered and the hunt begins!
This book takes place in the future, which is interesting, but it provides a negative point of view.
