I love this book

I bought it for my granddaughter. She needed to read it for summer reading list for school. I loved it as much as she did. We just finished listening to it again LOL This is our fourth time through LOL I recommend for young readers. This is 1st book in a 4 book series. This book is from Anna's point of view. Anna is about 9 or 10 years old. The paper version is an easy reader level for 2nd or 3rd grade readers. Glenn Close is an excellent narrator.

Amazing book for everyone🙃

I love this book!🙃
I read it for school and at first I was not Excited, but the minute I started it I could not stop it is a very good book and I definitely recommend it i’m in fifth grade but I’d say it’s good for third grade and up. It may be small but it has sensitive topics. I think this book that I recommend to anyone no matter how old you are.🙃

Great story

As a 3rd grade teacher, teaching about the pioneers, sequencing and history, this was an excellent story for the children.

Dislikes and likes

I loved the story. It had great detail and drew me in. One thing I would change is to make a sequel or to make it longer because I would’ve preferred to have details about the wedding and about their life happily ever after.

Exquisite

This is an exquisite little treasure box of a story. I had heard of the book and the film, but had never read the story. How lovely.

One of the classics

My brother and I used to listen to this book as children. We had it on a cassette tape, and we rewound it countless times, over and over. The narrator did such a nice job that I’ll never be able to enjoy just reading the book on my own. Her pronunciations, tones, characters, and enthusiasm for the story are unmatched, and the soundtrack is incredibly well-done, adding excitement in all the right places. The story itself is a perfect mix of expectations, apprehensions, adventure, and emotion that leads to a satisfying close. I can’t recommend this book enough! It’s a short, captivating story that children, adults–and children who turn into adults–will love.

A SOLID FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY!!

Absolutely darling story that takes place in the early pioneer days. Great job by Glenn Close!! It touched my heart, I enjoyed it immensely, and actually cried in the end 😢 (don’t tell anybody!!) Highly recommend definitely for kids, but surely for adults as well.
