Publisher's summary

Nationally syndicated radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh has long wanted to make history come to life for the children of his listeners. In this book, he travels back in time with fearless history teacher Rush Revere. With the help of his faithful talking horse, Liberty, Rush experiences American history as it happens, having adventure after adventure with exceptional Americans such as Paul Revere and George Washington. Rush is transported back to the deck of the Mayflower as it makes its momentous voyage across the oceans to land at Plymouth Rock.

Rush finds out quickly, though, that there's nothing so momentous about seasickness! Soon he is caught up in the early moments of our nation as the Pilgrims struggle to make a home for themselves in this new world. He continues to travel back and forth in time to better illuminate for his students the real-life aspects of this historic times. Ending with the first Thanksgiving, this book captures the bravery of the first settlers.

Excellent Teaching Book

What made the experience of listening to Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims the most enjoyable?

This is a great book for teaching American History and capitalism's principles. It is made even more enjoyable because it includes Rush, a man we know, and is read by him. Obviously, this would be the one man who would read it according to the way the author was thinking when he wrote it.

What did you like best about this story?

In a couple of sections, there were certain questions asked of one of the characters about what he had learned, and with each one, the answer was clear in my mind before the response.

Even this Democrat loved it!

I will be honest, I am not a fan of Rush Limbaugh. I cringed slightly when my father gifted the first book in this series. However, my children LOVED the book. LOVED LOVED LOVED. They finished the book in just two days. My son was BEGGING and pleading for me to turn on Rush Revere at every possible moment; in the car, while cleaning his room, before bed, in the bath, at dinner. I grew up in a household where Rush Limbaugh was CONSTANTLY on, so his voice is like nails on a chalkboard for me. However, I somehow forgot it was Rush Limbaugh reading the book with this audible. The book was THAT good.
The story is very cute and thought out. As soon as we finished my son begged me to go buy book two.

Awesome Book

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I recommend this series. My 10 year old son finally loves books. It made him laugh.

He took a test and got 100% without studying because it was so well done.

impressive history review by Rush Limbaugh!

I was impressed by the fact that this book was written by Rush Limbaugh... I knew he was a good radio talk show host, but now he's proven to be quite a good children's author. We listened to the book on our family trip this summer and have a 15 year old, 13-year old, and 10 year old... And they all stayed engaged throughout the entire book. The story was both humorous and historically enlightening. Our only critique was the fact that it was a little light on history and could have woven and more historical information.

I completely enjoy the Rush Revere series. His goal of making history fun has been hit and I look forward to listening to the rest of the series.

love it An awesome book my children LOVE it

this is an exceptional book. I love the way Rush explains the history on a children's level but doesn't dumb down the history for the children and that the children can get credit at school for reading the book we have all the books and have the Articles so it's a great companion to be able to read and listen at the same time to the story excellent job

Incredible book, incredible reader!

No matter your political views, the Rush Revere books do an amazing job of transporting you into history. The clever writing makes the present day characters lovable and become richer and more complex throughout the series. The history was well researched and gave such great detail that it illustrated the daily challenges as well as the historical context that made these events so important.

And a review wouldn’t be complete without saying how incredible Rush did at reading this series of books. I love listening to them with my children. Thank you Rush, we miss you.

Entertaining for All Ages

I took along this book to read to my grandchildren when I visited this summer. The story was informative as well as entertaining. We all enjoyed it and the discussions we had. I figure I better teach them history because they won't be getting it in school.
