Publisher's summary

The secret history behind the New York Times best-selling Ranger's Apprentice novels.

Unconfirmed accounts of a group of Araluen warriors - tales of adventure, battle, and triumph over evil - have spread for centuries throughout the known world. Most notable is a clan shrouded in mystery, phantom warriors known as the Rangers.

Two names pass the lips of every storyteller: Halt, and his apprentice, Will. They and their comrades in arms are said to have traveled throughout the kingdom and beyond its borders, protecting those who needed it most. If true, these rumors can be only part of the story.

Only now, centuries after these men and women walked the earth, do we have confirmation of their existence. Behold: The Lost Stories.

Disappointed with it being listed as Book # 11

Any additional comments?

The stories contained in the "book" were interesting, but poorly developed as with an anthology of books. My disappointment has to do with expecting another novel instead of a group of short stories. I recognize that it says "Lost Stories" however Audible has it listed as Book #11. With the MANY other books and series I have listened to (and Read) the next numbered book is another novel at least in the same world with same characters if not the continuation of the story line. I overall enjoyed the short stories, however wish that this was not labeled as book #11.

Fabulous!

John Flanagan has brought this story line to a close by chapters explaining the loose ends from the series - Ranger's Apprentice. It isn't enough since they are still sorely missed in my life but now I know what happened to them.

Thank You John, both of you.

This was my favorite book series to read growing up as a child. As a young adult I don't have much time to read anymore... So finding this brought me so much joy... And my excitement grew when I heard how John Keating read, performed, and described each line bringing life to the words on the page. Thank you so much.

Great for filling in the blanks

This was a great way to wrap up the Ranger's Apprentice series. We appreciated how it was performed and the way this made the stories feel historical.

An Excellent Book for Fans of the Series

If you've gotten to this book you're probably a fan of the Ranger's Apprentice Series. Unlike the previous books in the series this one is a collection of short stories. However, each story is amazing and many of the them answer questions you may or may not have had about the series. Additionally, narrator does great job varying the characters voices and adding the right tone and emotion to each line of dialogue.

a collection of stories is hard to review so to sum it up.. some stories were very entertaining while others were slightly disappointing after the previous books

Yes and no

I liked the answers to all the many questions you get from reading a book series, however I still want more so some of the stories left me wanting....but overall well done, awesome narrator.
