Jason Segel, multitalented actor, writer, and musician, teams up with New York Times best-selling author Kirsten Miller for the hilariously frightening middle-grade novel Nightmares!, the first book in a trilogy about a boy named Charlie and a group of kids who must face their fears to save their town.
Sleeping has never been so scary. And now waking up is even worse!
Charlie Laird has several problems.
What Charlie doesn’t know is that his problems are about to get a whole lot more real. Nightmares can ruin a good night’s sleep, but when they start slipping out of your dreams and into the waking world - that’s a line that should never be crossed.
And when your worst nightmares start to come true...well, that’s something only Charlie can face. And he’s going to need all the help he can get, or it might just be lights-out for Charlie Laird. For good.

What an awesome book. The storyline and narration are amazing. Kids of all ages will enjoy. :)
This book has one of the best plots and most well developed main characters that I've read in a while. The reading by Segel is so accurate in characterization and tone that the story came to life and had me mesmerized and hanging on. A story I will put in the hands of my students who may not be brave enough to face the fears in their own lives. More, please!
it was a very good listen Jason Segal Segal was very good at his job. the story was very good kind of young but it kept me interested all the way through.. I usually don't listen two books twice but I would suggest that my grandchildren read it very good
I am a school counselor that loves horror, fantasy, autobiographies, self-help, and Christian genres. I am a BIG bookworm! Reading is life!
I think it was so awesome that Jason read his own book! Who better to read the book than the person that wrote it! I thought it was creative how he built this whole different world of nightmares. I think it's a great book for kids! It touches on the issues of losing a mother at a young age and facing your fears. I think he did a great job and I read somewhere that he struggled with nightmares when he was a kid...that's where the base of this book came from!
A-1 this one is at the top, great writing
Everyone who has ever had a fear or a loss should read this book, I will be sending copies to everyone.
