Robert's childhood world of magic becomes real when a chance encounter with a local casino mob boss introduces him to the world he was born into, the world that was hidden from him, the world of the Fae.

The kingdom of Cornucopia was once the happiest in the world. It had plenty of gold, a king with the finest moustache you could possibly imagine, and butchers, bakers, and cheesemongers whose exquisite foods made a person dance with delight when they ate them. Everything was perfect - except for the misty Marshlands to the north, which, according to legend, were home to the monstrous Ickabog. Anyone sensible knew that the Ickabog was just a myth to scare children into behaving. But the funny thing about myths is that sometimes they take on a life of their own.

Awful. many times I had to stop the tape and explain to my kids this is not ethical behavior my nancy drew. breaking and entering, lying, etc are the norm is this book. A FAR cry from the original books......

Definitely more interesting, but…
Nancy Drew has been kind of boring in my opinion, but this version of her had a lot more personality. That being said, she broke a bunch of laws while investigating in this book. Not sure how I feel about it.

stupid
Wouldn't recommend it to anyone. My young daughter's love Nancy Drew so we downloaded this book. It's definatly NOT the same. She had no morals and we didn't finish it.

childish and tweener oriented
dialog of morose teens and their clothes. not the original author. she doesn't do justice to the series. To the authors credit I almost made an hour into the book.

Person In The Rack
I have loved Nancy Drew Mysteries since I was a teenager, so I was excited to find more books in audible. The clean suspense of the way each scene plays out kept me happy for the positive and listening for the clues. I really love when I can’t figure out the “Who Done It” until they reveal it and that was the case w/this very well written Nancy Drew mystery.

Corrections to bad reviews
this book is great I would definitely recommend it but, one, I can’t believe that someone called this book racist it is not at all racist by describing someone’s physical appearance, and she absolutely did have morals the only reason the was snooping was because she was investigating an immoral business man so if you read the bad reviews don’t believe them they aren’t true
