Awesome, fun and clean!

The narration was fantastic, and the story was fun and engaging. I love it when books can be that way without profanity or sexual content. Highly recommended! I will be listening to the next book. Thank you!

A fun and engaging story.

A great story to share as a Family or Friends. (So many fun and interesting audio books you'll enjoy listening to while your hands are busy with chores or crafts!)

Seriously flawed

Some truly marvelous ideas do not make for a cohesive, disciplined story. A story where anything could change from one moment to the next, and this, not a good thing. A dissatisfying cross between a quaint children’s tale and a sprawling world.

Amazing story

I read this book when it was first released and fell in love with it. This audiobook gave me the chance to fall in love with it all over again.

Entertaining.

Great story, only complaint is the author makes Marcia sounds like an old woman. When the description implies otherwise.

books do not need music.

Loved the book. Hate the music between the chapter's, it's so loud you miss the beginning of the chapter and the music goes on for far to long!! My children complained every time that the music came on and killed the rhythm of the story.

Great for the 11 at heart

The series was overshadowed in its first release years by that other wizard. I read it then. Listening to it now. Both times I felt rewarded with a good story. The components of the story are common, and the list is long. I felt they were freshly packaged; I expect young readers will appreciate them with fresh eyes. There isn't quite the vertical audience appeal, which I suspect is the basis of some negative reviews. If you are an older reader, imagine using it in a literature class as a catalog of tropes of fairytales and fantasy. That's how I'd use it.
