The stories receive a perfect 5 star, the audible version of this collection receives a 2 star only!!!
I bought this collection on cd a while ago, downloaded them into itunes and then onto my kids' ipods. They loved the stories, they are very entertaining and wonderfully read. After we lost the cds, I just purchased this collection from audible. Although the stories etc. are the same, the problem I have with this version is that there are no separate books to pick from after downloading. You can only listen from the beginning to the end or try to find the next title by fast forwarding and pausing to listen where you are. This is a major flaw since my kids won't be able to pick the story they want to listen to but are forced to either listen from the beginning every time or try to find their favorite by fast forwarding (considering there are no titles etc. either it's REALLY hard to find the story you want). With book collections this should be incorporated in the download. Really a MAJOR flaw.
My kids range from age 1 to age 8 and they all love it. When Junie B. Jones is on, the car is quiet because they all want to listen. It's even humurous for the adults. My kids love to listen to it over and over.
I got this for a 18 hour trip to vermont for my 6 year old. She loved it. We all listened to it also and the stories as well as the speaker were very good. I would recommend this to anyone with kids. Great for a little chuckle.
My son and I enjoyed listening to the stories. He found them to be quite hysterical and it was definitely entertaining for the two of us. Worth the purchase.
The kids absolutely LOVE Junie B. Jones! Laura Quintal, is an amazing narrator who captures the characters perfectly. I really wish they would offer another collection of 8 books.
This series is the cutest and funniest thing in all of literature. Junie B. Is a hoot and a half. Her hilarious
personality will make even a bad day a great day.
Junie B. and her views on life will have you and your children laughing out loud. I have two first graders and they LOVE listening to these stories over and over again. My only criticism is that I don't care for some of the language (stupid, hate, etc.). While perhaps mild we don't like to encourage the use of these words. Other than that, we highly recommend the Junie B. Jones audio books.
I spent two days in the car with a six year old girl covering about a thousand miles. I am really glad I put this audiobook onto her MP3 player before we left.
I tried listening to it with her over the car stereo, but the story and voice narration drove me bonkers. I soon switched her back to her headphones and she was a happy camper.
I'd highly recommend this for girls aged 5-8.
