Trust your heart,
and trust your story.
A renowned storyteller, whose words have transported readers and listeners to magical realms, guides a traveler safely through lands unknown and yet strangely familiar...
...and home again.
Touch the wooden gate in the wall you never saw before, say "please" before you open the latch, go through, walk down the path....The listener is invited on a lyrical journey peopled by a cast of mythical characters, with a set of instructions that is both intriguing and reassuring. The advice for travelling through a fairytale landscape might just save you from being eaten by wolves or being lost forever, but it is also a charming metaphor for living courageously and taking risks. The expressive and stylish prose resonates with Gaiman's distinctive voice and will captivate listeners of any age.

Neil Gaiman - Enough Said
I wish they did a complete collection of all his little short stories, instead of individual ones.
I read a quote from "Instructions" in a post by Krista Tippet, "On Being", radio host, "“Remember your name. Do not lose hope — what you seek will be found. Trust ghosts. Trust those that you have helped to help you in their turn. Trust dreams. Trust your heart and trust your story.” Gaiman's words zapped me. This little 4 minute recording is like a Celtic prayer - word pictures that plant themselves in your heart.I like Neil Gaiman. I like his voice. I like his bravado. "Instructions" hits the high mark.
Yes, hear Neil Gaimen read his own words in magic.
It's a great story about the adventure of life, and common fairy tale cliches.
Interesting Philosophical Sweet
Best to just listen to this one it's very short...
His wonderful voice that brings the story alive...
Great very short story to listen to while relaxing.
This book contains wonderful advice for life.
This book would be perfect if one could see the art while listening to the author read the book.
I devour books like a trash compactor.
I suppose this could be considered cute. A magical journey condensed into 3 minutes. In the end I wanted more. More insight, more writing, more everything.
He narrows down the tropes of a fantastical adventure. Things you might find in any story. So in that it was enchanting.
Nothing wrong with that
I wanted something more substantial from the Master.
Longer.. there was no story. Like other Gaiman stuff this poem for lack of a better term felt like a setup for a story like others of his.
there were some teasers
Definetly not worth a credit for 4 min.
