Publisher's summary

Although a year has passed, not a day goes by without Meggie thinking of Inkheart, the book whose characters came to life and changed her life forever.

But for Dustfinger, the fire-eater brought into being from words, the need to return to the tale has become desperate. When he finds a crooked storyteller with the ability to read him back, Dustfinger leaves behind his young apprentice Farid and plunges into the medieval inkscape once more.

Distraught, Farid goes in search of Meggie, and before long, both are caught inside the book, too. There they meet Inkheart's author, Fenoglio, now living within his own story. But the tale is much changed, and threatening to evolve in ways none of them would ever have imagined. Will Meggie, Farid, and Fenoglio manage to write the wrongs of a charmed world? Or is their story on the brink of a very bad ending?

So Amazing!

Brandon Fraiser is fantastic. I loved this series previously and his voice just brought it to life. He is a Silver Tongue.

Naration excellent

When I read the reviews regarding the narrator I just had to put in my 2cents worth. As I started listening to this book with my kids, I thought Brendan is too quiet, too difficult to listen to. As he got into the story and started to give characters personality through voice I really started enjoying the book so much. I looked forward to each opportunity I had to listen to more. I enjoyed the narration thoroughly!

Great Story! Not so great performance

I had read the books before, and listening to them was a great experience, however I enjoyed the narrations of Inkheart and Inkdeath better. It was OK, but not as good as the other two narrators.

Fabulous for all ages!

The whole family absolutely loved this story. The narration was so good that I was rather awed by it — each character in the story had its own unique voice that was readily distinguishable from the rest. Impressive!

Inkheart

I think it was an awesome story but did Fareed and Dustfinger have to die. I literally cried. That part was so sad.

enjoyed the book.

Brendan Frasier did a good job. It did take a bit to get used to the voices and his cadence. I enjoyed it though.

Good story

The reader of this story has a deep gravely voice that is hard to hear and understand at times. When he does the voices it get too loud. I am constantly turning my volume up and down quite annoying and not relaxing at all.
