UnsuspectingFUN,enjoyableMISCHEIF,Loyal Friendship

You don't have to be a kid to enjoy this story. You just have to use your inner child imagination, come on, it's easy! The intonations of David Tennant's voice keeps you in the thick of it. I so love an adventure and that's what awaits you in this tale of "How to cheat a Dragon's curse".

Amazing adventure and great way to escape :)

I've listned and re-listned all 12 HTTYD books and I just can't get enough of them. Dreamworks animated movies are great but this books are even better. the whole series is just a mosaic of increadable adventure stories so meticiously connected together into one epic tail of courage and kindness along with all the other elements of a great adventure; it is exciting and thrilling and full of unexpected twists and clif-hangers that keep you on your toes every moment troughout the story. There is also a lot of great humor that I absolutely loved and some of it even made me laugh out loud. And let me say, those are deffinetely NOT just kids books. They are full of great life lessons hidden in them that I doubt kids before 15 would even have been able to recognize. I found even some lessons on leadership and people management in it. Also motivational tips and lessons on responsability that comes with a position of power. All in all, this story is one that I would even compare to Harry Potter series in sense of quality of deapth that it offeres if you look at it more closely.
How to Cheat a Dragons Curse is one of my favorites of the series. It is less dark and serious than some of the other volumes towards the end of the series but it is like home for me. It is like meditation in sense that it really relaxes me and lets me forget my worries as I enjoy some sarcasm and dark humor and comedic aspects of all those mad characters their meaningfull names and how they find themselves in all kinds of crazy imposdible situations and all those unexpected solutions to their problems. There's some of the best humor and jokes, found in this one. Of course the performance of David Tennant is unbelievably entertaining as well as it paints every second of the story so alive with all the voices of the characters and all those funny accents that you can immediately get lost in it for several hours on end without even realising it. I could go on and on about it, really. I'm a fan.
All in all, this is an amazing story and audiobook and I would reccomend it to anyone who likes to escape and get lost into a fantasy world, kids and adults alike.
I am truly greatefull to Mrs Cressida Cowell, an amazing writer, for sharring her increadable imagination with us in such an inspiering and fun way.
Thank you.

Another great story!

Again, this story was listened to and enjoyed by my Australian family! The 9 year old said I should give this book a 6 out of 5 stars. They loved how Stoic fainted. The food fight was also a hit!

Well done!

Adorable

I like kid books on occasion. Don't get into this one thinking its anything like the movie though. So long as you keep the two separate from each other its enjoyable even for adults. Very cute and adorable as well as a lot of fun.
