Publisher's summary

In this highly-illustrated series from James Patterson, an extraordinary robot signs up for an ordinary fifth grade class... and elementary school will never be the same!

It was never easy for Sammy Hayes-Rodriguez to fit in, so he's dreading the day when his genius mom insists he bring her newest invention to school: a walking, talking robot he calls E—for "Error". Sammy's no stranger to robots—his house is full of a colorful cast of them. But this one not only thinks it's Sammy's brother... it's actually even nerdier than Sammy. Will E be Sammy's one-way ticket to Loserville? Or will he prove to the world that it's cool to be square? It's a roller-coaster ride for Sammy to discover the amazing secret E holds that could change family forever... if all goes well on the trial run!

A #1 New York Times Bestseller

"Underlying the novel's laughs are themes of friendship, compassion, and family, particularly in regard to Sammy's devotion to his younger sister...and his deepening relationship with his 'bro-bot.'"—Publishers Weekly

READ BY THE SON !

I read everything by Jamed Patterson! of course he has a son. how could he not follow in his father's footsteps? so of course i wanted to check this book out. I think he did this audiobook when he he was 16. he is older now and has written his own books and of course they are in my wishlist. as for the book I loved this book! the story is too cute to be rude. i feel like if i talk about it i will give too many details about the book away so i can't actually talk about it. i don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasnt read it. just know that it is only a story and most likely not possible to ever actually be a true story unless maybe 100 years in the future. for those people more my age who have seen that movie from the 80's where the robot says "johnny 5 is alive" its kind of like that. I wonder if thats where mr james patterson got the idea for this book. this book is book 1 in a series of robots books so i ca'nt wait to read the next ones in my wishlist.

500,000,000 🌟's

This book is awsome. And as a 9 year old I th out that it was perfectly balanced. Happy, sad, mystery, and humour. Over all this book is good but if I could I would make slight changes.

Fun book

Tickled my son's imagination and funny bone! Easy to follow. Creative story line. Good moral lessons too. I'd definitely recommend this book to young readers.

My Kids wanted to give it 5 1/2 stars.

The title says it all. My six year old and 9 year old enjoyed it just as much. Easy to follow the story.

Definitely for middle schoolers

Not for my 7 year old, but when he is in middle school I’m sure he will enjoy it. I purchased this to see if it might be a book series for my 7 year old to get into, but I don’t think he will relate with the characters just yet. He still likes mom and dad and is not so keen about his kid sister. Plus he loves robots and the idea of someone maliciously dismembering one for a gag would terrify him. We will wait a few more years to introduce this series.
