I'm a mom. I have drama in my life. I don't want books with the F-bomb, nor graphic violence. I read for fun and to bring my family together. I read for reducing stress levels. We have never had a television in our home and our children are now mid twenties to 19. We listen together and look for belly-wrenching laughter. So what is it like to live without a TV? Awesomely educational and inspirational. Each new book is a marvel.
I remember reading Harold and the Purple Crayon many years ago. This was enjoyable because I could see in my mind the places Harold would go.
Nice, short listen.
My taste differs from kid books to gory horror books.
A SMALL FOREST WITH ONE TREE IN IT.
When it comes to showing imagination, I don't think you can outdo a small kid drawing whatever world he wants. I don't know how my grandkids will like it, but I loved it. What a great way to start creative thinking. I will probably play this before doing something creative with my grandkids.
I gave the performance five stars, but I agree that the music can be a little much. It is not enough to detract from the story though, but better music or no music could have been used.
