    "Kids love!"
What did you love best about Gruffalo's Child?

No specific to Gruffalo's Child, but I love that mouse uses his brain to outwit what would be considered the "bigger" or "stronger".

What was one of the most memorable moments of Gruffalo's Child?

    For my kids, the snoring!!!

Have you listened to any of Hal Hollings’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    Yes, very similar

    Any additional comments?

The Gruffalo stories are just too cute! This is a book my children consistently ask to hear.

    Gruffalo, obviously.

What about Hal Hollings’s performance did you like?

    Yes, the voices are great.

    "Hillarious reading!"
    Any additional comments?

My 4-year old and I love this book. It's so witty and enternaining. It is best enjoyed if you also have "The Gruffalo" because you can best savour the author cleverness in the succesion of the story. The reading is super entertaining and catching, i see myself many times saying "Aha! Oho! Marks in the snow!" You will love it!

    "Bad Narration"
Would you try another book from Julia Donaldson and/or Hal Hollings?

    Heistantly.

What other book might you compare Gruffalo's Child to and why?

    The Gruffalo -- same people.

What didn’t you like about Hal Hollings’s performance?

His voices were horrible. The narration for the Gruffalo movie was top-notch, so my expectations (rather ignorantly) were for something similar. It was horrible, which made the listening horrible, even for my kids.

The narration is not tolerable, even for the few shorts minutes it takes to listen to this book.

Was Gruffalo's Child worth the listening time?

    Not really.

"Great story, but the author's name is wrong!"

My children and I really enjoyed this follow-up to the classic children's story. Hal Hollings did a great job of narrating the story and bringing the characters to life, but the author's name is incorrect in the introduction (it is credited to Julia Davidson, instead of Julia Donaldson), and this oversight annoys me every time we listen to it. Poor attention to detail.
