It's wintertime at Greenglass House. The creaky smuggler's inn is always quiet during this season, and 12-year-old Milo, the innkeepers' adopted son, plans to spend his holidays relaxing. But on the first icy night of vacation, out of nowhere, the guest bell rings. Then rings again. And again. Soon Milo's home is bursting with odd, secretive guests, each one bearing a strange story that is somehow connected to the rambling old house. As objects go missing and tempers flare, Milo and Meddy, the cook's daughter, must decipher clues and untangle the web of deepening mysteries to discover the truth about Greenglass House - and themselves.

This is a great book period there really is nothing else to say except it is the best book I have ever read (heard)

This is a wonderful story about a boy, his new friend, and a very eclectic collection of adults. There's a mystery to solve and the children have an advantage from the start. They both know more about this magnificently interesting house than the adults.
Figuring out the clues! I don't want to give anything away.
Easy to understand and he didn't go overboard with the accents.
We listened as a family before bedtime over several days. It would have been fun to listen straight through but we would have missed out on our fun speculations.
This is a really fun book for both kids and adults.
As long as I have my Audible, I'm content.
This was such a fun story! While categorized for the 8-10 year old set, I thoroughly enjoyed it at nearly 50. There's an old house that contains treasures as yet unknown, there are ghost stories and old maps, creaks in the night and dangers lurking, yet hot cocoa is served, cake is made, and gifts are exchanged around the Christmas tree, keeping things homey and warm while the mystery is solved.
Say something about yourself!
Pleasantly surprised by how the story unfolded! It was an ending I did not expect! Talented narrator! A voice that flawlessly slid from character to character without me noticing.
I really did enjoy reading this book. 😃
It is not often that I am able to enjoy a book. So thank you Mrs. Kate Milford for writing this fabulous book for my school and I to read. 😃😄
Although, the Audio was a bit slow at
times throughout the book.
