Lost Treasure of the Emerald Eye
It all started when my sister, Thea, discovered an old, mysterious map.
The Curse of the Cheese Pyramid
It was a dream come true: I was off to Egypt to interview a famous archaeologist! A crabby old camel took me across the desert to the Cheese Pyramid.
Cat and Mouse in a Haunted House
Lost in a dark, spooky forest, I quickly discovered that it was haunted, by cats! And in this case, curiosity almost killed the mouse.
Who is Geronimo Stilton? That's me! I run a newspaper, but my true passion is writing adventure stories. Here in New Mouse City, the capital of Mouse Island, my books are all best sellers! My stories are funny, fa-mouse-ly funny. They are whisker-licking-good tales, and that's a promise.

My kids are 4 and 5 and can be difficult to get to bed! So as any loving father of audio books I decided to give this a try for a calming soothing bed time ritual that was longer than a Dr Seusse book. Well it is magical!! My daughter cannot wait to listen and my son gets into them once they start. They listen to them over and over. ENJOY!!
My son is 9 years old and dyslexic. This audible book has opened a whole new world of reading for him.
He can't wait to listen and follow along in his book. He can't put it down.
The narrator does a wonderful job of bringing all the characters in this book to life. His voicings are perfect! I deducted one star, however, for the INFURIATING way they start books in the middle of a track.
My son is a huge audio book fan and this is one of his favorites. He will listen to these three short chapter books over and over. In fact, he has checked out some of the books from the library and really enjoys following along. (It works well because the art style of the book).
I, on the other hand, find it rather annoying. If we are picking one to listen to together, this is not it. There is an analogy about cheese every other line and it makes my skin crawl with the device. I could go the rest of my life and never hear "As stinky as a three day old cheese ball" or "As sharp as a dark cheddar" or "As soft as a brie" again.
But the book is not for me and how can I say a book that got my son begging to read chapter books is bad? I can't.
I got this collection because my daughters love the stories. However, after listening to the reader, I'm sorry I got them. The characters are portrayed as intelligent, but the accents and voices that are given to them is the complete opposite; screechy, whiney, and completely annoying. My daughters went from loving the books to not wanting to listen to them at all, not to mention the fact that I can't stand listening to this reader in the car with them. The author is great, the only reason I can give this book more than a 1 star, easy to read and the stories are fun to read. If someone else did the narration these would easily be 4-5 stars in my opinion, but not with this reader.
