the kids loved the narration... they could not stop saying "George.... " and the story is an obvious classic.
My sons said their favorite part was when George was incanting the spell and stirring up his marvellous medicine!
Myself and my six year old loved it. Great story and fabulous narration by the peerless Derek Jacobi.
"Roald Dahl is the best"
Listening with my 4 year old on a car journey, I remember now how much I loved this book, and all RD books when I read them as a child. Dahl really knew how to say the things that a child will understand, and think are hilarious. No pussyfooting around, it's all grizzly smells, gruesome silliness, slugs and snails and 'By Gum!'. Brilliant.
Very good but weird I love it and I also love the book 💙💙💙 this is my favourite I absolutely love it
"Super super good"
I loved this story of Roald Dahl- it is so amazing and fun. It is the best one that I have heard. I am 6 years old.
"our boys loved it
a long car journey made much more fun. our boys are aged 5 & 7 and really enjoyed this book.
Read so greatly and one of my all time favourites. So many amazing memories of this book that hearing this made me smile for days.
Absolute cracker of an audio book. 😊 love the naration. Roald Dahl at his best. Took me right back to my childhood
Yes. Classic Roald Dahl brought to life with an amazing narrator.
Grandma! And poor patient George.
His voices and characterization were brilliant. I never get bored listening to this with my kids. Its a favourite on long car journeys
A great listen. One of our favorite Roald Dahl audios. We have a lot of them on cd in a set we bought two years ago and e.g. the witches, even though brilliantly read by miranda Richardson, my kids (and I, in places) cant understand what the grand high witch says i as she is speaking such accented english. Georges marvelous medicine is fantastically performed by Derek Jacobi who wouldn't have been much of a favorite actor of mine before this but now I love him!
