The much-loved Famous Five books are now available as unabridged audio downloads for the first time!
The Famous Five are skiing - having lots of fun in the snow! But it's not long before they have a new mystery to solve. Like, who is living in the mysterious house near the chalet they're staying in? The caretaker says nobody has lived there for years, but the Five are sure they've seen a face at one of the windows...a terrified, haunted face, too. Have the gang got the courage to go close enough to the house to find out...?

"Another lovely comfort listen"
Not my favourite Famous Five but a pleasant romp beautifully read by Jan Francis who transports you into the story totally.
It was amazing, I could understand every word of it.
I would recommend it to everyone in the world.

"How has nobody ever strangled Julian?"
Plutonium mining foiled.
My kids really enjoyed this. I thought it was even more pants than the usual famous 5 gubbins. Julian is beyond pompous, George is at her most unreasonable whinyness and their obsession with being independent (while having the obsequious lower classes cook for them) really grates in this one. Anyway, it got us to York and back without squabbles so it served its purpose.
She saved the book in my opinion! I suspect she isn't Julian's biggest fan. I liked that.
Roll on Diana Wynne Jones!
