my kids hates the voice of the narrator..he shows no emotions..he reads like a professor..
Narrator was awful. Turned it off after five minutes - I was bored by it - no way my 2 1/2 year old would listen to it. So disappointed. Want to return it!
Love to read books, but not enough Time
I know that most voice actors don't do fairy tails because it takes a lot of different voices. Like when you were little and Mom or Dad read you a bedtime story or when you read a book to your little one. I was just expecting a story to keep my little one amused on a long trip. Audible.com has just spoild me with great voices telling a storys that are vivid, not reading Tech manuals.
I needed a story to put my great grandson to fall asleep, not cry to hear a story~
If you cut out the introduction
if there is not another 15 mins of stuff I already know
one eye two eyes and three eyes~
I would like to return this book and I only gave it one star cause I had to
This was so disappointing. My daughter commutes with me in the morning and we like to listen to audiobooks together. I thought for sure she would love listening to these fairy tales. The problem? It's written in early 1900s English and is just so dry. I couldn't even make it through the first couple minutes of each story.
This book sounds like it's being read by a computer. It's difficult to understand has does not have the cadence of a human voice. The writing isn't the problem; the reading is.
Not if it has the sound quality of this recording, no.
My children found the narrator to be difficult to understand. Perhaps it was the sound quality or his poor vocal variety. Whatever, personally, the way it was narrated also failed to capture my attention
Gorgeous stories that are let down by a terrible reader
