In the long-awaited sequel to Fablehaven, the dragons who have been kept at the dragon sanctuaries no longer consider them safe havens but prisons, and they want their freedom. The dragons are no longer our allies....
In the hidden dragon sanctuary of Wyrmroost, Celebrant the Just, King of the Dragons, plots his revenge. He has long seen the sanctuaries as prisons, and he wants nothing more than to overthrow his captors and return the world to the Age of Dragons, when he and his kind ruled and reigned without borders. The time has come to break free and reclaim his power.
No one person is capable of stopping Celebrant and his dragon horde. It will take the ancient order of Dragonwatch to gather again if there is any chance of saving the world from destruction. In ancient times Dragonwatch was a group of wizards, enchantresses, dragon slayers, and others who originally confined the majority of dragons into sanctuaries. But nearly all of the original Dragonwatch members are gone, and so the wizard Agad reaches out to Grandpa Sorenson for help.
As Kendra and Seth confront this new danger, they must draw upon all their skills, talents, and knowledge, as only they have the ability to function together as a powerful dragon tamer. Together they must battle against forces with superior supernatural powers and breathtaking magical abilities.
How will the epic dragon showdown end? Will dragons overthrow humans and change the world as we know it?

Fablehaven has always been in the top 3 of my list for a fantasy series. Dragonwatch Book #1 leaves nothing behind. You are swept along again with all of the wonderful characters that Mull created. He is so imaginative, and such an excellent writer! As a 42 year old woman, you would think this book would be too immature for my tastes. However, Dragonwatch Book 1 is exciting and enjoyable enough to please all audiences!
I really like this series but it was my first time listening to one on audio. I really feel like the narrator missed some key timings and phrases. He wasn't convincing as the age groups he was portraying. He may be a great narrator but this book was beyond his scope.
I had high hopes for the next in the series and I wasn't disappointed. its a great listen, and good for all ages
I Was worried when I read that this series had a new narrator. I enjoyed the characterizations of the previous narrator, E.B. Stevens, but Kirby Heyborne melded the voices of the characters well. There was no noticeable differences, particularly in my favorite characters, Newel and Doren, the television-watching satyrs. The book is shorter than I would have liked, and it left some parts of the story hanging. I will be coming back to catch the next part of the adventure in the Dragon sanctuary, Wyrmroost.
I would say this book is time well spent listening to once you get over the narrator the book is excellent if you liked Fablehaven then you will love dragonwatchers
I like the fact that it's all about Kendra and Seth I love the fact that they become caretakers and I am so excited to see what new adventures await them.
The narrator is horrible he cannot talk worth a darn when it comes to names of characters I really think they should have taught him how not to scream at the top of his lungs. When you're shouting nobody likes yelling in their ears. I recommend them take this narrator off of this book series I wish they wouldn't have even let him speak for the Beloved characters that we love so much. They should bring back the old narrator.
Everybody wishes that their favorite books would become a movie and I wish that my book Fablehaven and this one would become a movie they would be great people would love it and it would be a hit.
this book is another winner just like the original Fablehaven series. I'm slightly disappointed that the original narrator wasnt casted one because the narrator that is chosen likes to scream and I cannot let my kids listen to this book at night due to that. two he's not able to pronounce the different characters names very well and the pathetic British accent that slithers out of his mouth every once in awhile really is obnoxious.
if you can get past that point the book is great Brandon Mull has never let me down with his books. Kendra Swanson and Seth Swanson are the Beloved characters that we are so anxious to know more about. they introduced many new characters that'll of course make these stories even more exquisite. I see something happening with their cousins especially the little girl that the fairies are fond of. the new race that they visit and see that's not new but to the book it's a new. knowing that Bracken Kendra's main squeeze isn't with her throughout this book is slightly sad but knowing that something happened to him is even scarier. I don't want to tell too much for the book it's because I love the book there's plenty of new characters they talk about the old ones. just ignore the fact that the narrator cannot pronounce the characters names that are not American. I hope Brandon mull reads a couple of these reviews and takes into thought not to cast him for the next book and maybe get a hold of the old narrator or one that's able to pronounce all the characters names and doesn't yell it's not fun listening to a book where someone wants to yell in your ear even if a book you would expect to hear yelling you don't need to scream to get your point across. my review is low due to the fact of the narrator.
Loved this book! The only thing that could have made it better is if they had kept the original reader from Fablehaven. In the beginning of the story each of the characters kept slipping into a bad English accent but Kirby got better as the story went on.
I liked the growth of the main characters
I would have cast the original narrator of the Fablehaven series. I'm sorry but I hate when they change narrators for series. The original narrator has already given voice and life and character to the characters to change to a different narrator I don't like it.
