Add one powerful, fascinating, dangerous dragon.
Princess Cimerone has never met anyone (or anything) like the dragon Kazul. But then, she's never met a witch, a jinn, a death-dealing talking bird or a stone prince either.
Princess Cimerone ran away to find some excitement.
She's found plenty.

"A decidedly diverting novel with plenty of action and many slightly skewed fairy-tale conventions that add to the laugh-out-loud pleasure." (Booklist)
"A wonderful listen for the entire family." (AudioFile)
The actors' voices were not the best and were not easy to listen too. I've read this book series in middle school and enjoyed it greatly. The story is as humorous and clever as I remembered.
excellent full cast reading. everyone of the cast members gave a perfect performance of their character. the story is cute and smart. great for kids and grown ups. i wanted to re-read it to recommend to my niece, and my sister told me the audio book was one of the best readings of a book. it was so much fun to listen to!!
I have always loved this story. My entire childhood has had audiobooks in it. This was the first book I ever listened to. I was five years old and I loved this book. I love having a whole cast for a book. It gives the books characters more dimension. The book has a strong female protagonist which I love. She keeps telling people to stop trying to save her. They don't seem to believe she doesn't need to be rescued. That really captures fairy tales. A damsel in distress needs to be saved. Overall this is a wonderful book for all ages.
The main character princess Cimorene is a wonderful example of a strong female role-model and the with her combination of witty humor and no-nonsense attitude. I absolutely love this book. It's a must have in your collection.
The full cast does a wonderful job bringing the story to life. No complaints. Can't wait to listen to the rest of the stories in the series.
Did not read the printed version
Just a nice story of a girl with an independent spirit.
Cannot compare, have not listened to any others.
I enjoyed the story.
This is a wonderful book and a fantastic series. It's so refreshing to read a kid's fantasy series with such a strong, intelligent, and no-nonsense Princess as the hero. It has a full voice cast, and it reads more like an amateur dramatic production than a typical audiobook. They're all a bit hammy and over the top, and I love it, but it might not be everyone's cup of tea. I wish Audible had the rest of the series. I had to find the last two books on CD through my local library's interlibrary loan.
I have loved this series since I was a teen. Since discovering audiobooks my children and I have been greatly enjoying them and they LOVED this book and the narrator made it so much fun to listen too. I can't wait to listen to the second one :)
