Add one powerful, fascinating, dangerous dragon.
Princess Cimerone has never met anyone (or anything) like the dragon Kazul. But then, she's never met a witch, a jinn, a death-dealing talking bird or a stone prince either.
Princess Cimerone ran away to find some excitement.
She's found plenty.

"A decidedly diverting novel with plenty of action and many slightly skewed fairy-tale conventions that add to the laugh-out-loud pleasure." (Booklist)
"A wonderful listen for the entire family." (AudioFile)
I mostly enjoy Fantasy, with a sprinkling of sci-fi and mystery.
This is the beginning of an excellent series and it makes an outstanding first impression. It is well told, well performed classic that can appeal to both children and adults. I won't give away any details, but this is definitely a must have book.
I first found this series when I was in High school, and loved the twist on the fairy tales I heard when I was a child. an excellent story for people of all ages, I highly recommend it. I thought this recording was pretty good for an audio book. the sample covers about 1 1/2 chapters so i would advise listening to it before deciding to buy. good luck and happy listening!
In her own words:
I think readers of all ages, anyone who likes fantasy, would like this book about a princess who refuses to be proper. Princess Cimorene offers to be a dragon's princess! I think it is a great start to the series of four books, and I hope the others come out on audio tape soon!
The cast is amazing and the story is wonderful.
The main character is a strong-willed, smart, brave princess determined to do good in the world.
No. I wish I knew of more performances by this cast. They do so well.
I read this as a young girl. This book was one of the first books that really got me excited about reading and made me want to read other fantasy stories. I cannot recommend this book enough, especially for young readers. It is sweet, adorable, and a great story.
