Fun road trip story for boys, girls and adults!

No one was bored. Kids wanted to continue listening instead of stop and watch a movie!

This book is a great read and a great listen. It's very nice and the preformice is amazing. But most importantly I want to say thank you to Amazon and aduable for great reads and listens. Exceptional story. This has been one of my favorite books for years. Glad I got the Audible version as well.

Enchanting!

I've had "Dealing with Dragons" on my tbr for several years now, and many of my Goodreads friends have read and seemed to enjoy it, so I figured it was about time I finally gave it a chance. It was so cute! When I first started listening to the audiobook I was feeling grouchy about something in real life, but after only a few minutes this story had me laughing in spite of whatever it was that had caused my bad mood, and I continued to laugh through the rest of the book. Cimorene's interactions with the dragons, princes, and other fairytale beings were so fun and fanciful. It was a very enjoyable adventure. I plan to check out the rest of the series at some point too.

fantastic fantasy

I first found this series when I was in High school, and loved the twist on the fairy tales I heard when I was a child. an excellent story for people of all ages, I highly recommend it. I thought this recording was pretty good for an audio book. the sample covers about 1 1/2 chapters so i would advise listening to it before deciding to buy. good luck and happy listening!

An old favorite in audio

I have long loved Patricia Wrede's work. The Enchanted Forest series twists 'fairy tales' in delightful and yet logical and realistic ways. Much like Cimorene the unusual princess, Ms. Wrede uses intelligence and practicality to approach traditional fantasy mores.
In this book, a princess who is bored with 'princessy' things volunteers to be a dragon's princess. She encounters knights and princes determined to 'rescue' her, evil wizards, good witches and adventure. She isn't bored and neither are we.
I enjoyed the dramatized version. I did think the dragons voices could have been more resonant-sounding, but that is minor.

I read this in fourth grade, and really loved it.

The book was awesome. The story was so funny and creative. The narrator was very clear so you could underatand her!
