I love the great energetic characters. I especially like Tuna who I can definitely relate to. Though neither of my parents are abusive, I relate to her personality wise. I believe that Van Der Beek (sorry, not sure if I spelled the last name right) read the story a perfectly fine tempo and had nice accents and voices.

I liek logatoors ye but over all this was pretty funny and also intense thank you carl hiaseen very cool!

I loved the different voices for the different characters the narration was amazing. The story was amazing as well it really got me hooked.

Chomp it up!

We listened to this as a family with 10 and 8 y/o kids on a road trip to florida! This was the PERFECT book to listen to on the way to florida! Hiaasen knows so much about florida's natural fauna and animals, we learned a bunch about the everglades. The kid characters are strong, but not over the top. There are some tough issues, mainly a child character being physically abused by her father, but it is handled well. Also, very good narrator! We love Hoot by Hiaasen aswell!

Fun Story, Well Written, Great Narration!

This was my first experience with Carl Hiaasen's work. My son (9) and I listened to it on a recent road trip and thoroughly enjoyed it! Highly recommend!

Funny and action packed, this book takes the reader on a rapid jaunt through the Everglades. I liked the voices as well.

this book is about a person who fights with creatures that are vicious and eat people. a grim topic that turns comedic for the reader. The narrator does an excellent job covering this book of dark humor.
