Publisher's summary

The number-one New York Times best-selling Beyonders fantasy trilogy comes to a stunning and epic conclusion.

Jason and Rachel were not born in Lyrian. They did not grow up in Lyrian. But after all of the battles and losses, the triumphs and adventures, and most of all, the friendships forged in this fantastical world, Lyrian has become home to them in a way they never could have imagined.

And so, armed now with the prophecy of a dying oracle, they have gone on their separate quests - each surrounded by brave and powerful allies - knowing that the chance for success is slim. But Jason and Rachel are ready at last to become the heroes Lyrian needs, no matter the cost.

Perfect closing to an amazing story

This book was one of the best closings I have ever read. It was fast-paced and intense nearly the entire time.

I love the fantasy genre. One critique I generally have is the author never knows how to handle its characters' super powers. For example, a character may know how to control people's minds, but doing so would end the conflict - so instead the author has the character cause a tree branch to rustle so the character can make an escape. Not so in this book. The characters are very resourceful and creative.

Also, in Brandon Mull's other books, his adolescent characters did not fit their age. In all aspects his characters should have been in their 20s, (size, strength, comprehension, etc). However, in this book his characters were perfect. The story was very creative and believable. I loved it.

Wow. Just wow.

I didn’t write a review on the last two cuz I was busy starting the next. I’m just at awe at the series. The ending was just sad. Not as “ omg it was bad” but sad as in “ I’m sad to see a friend leave”. It was such a good series. It’s true like other reviews many main characters pass away. I won’t say who. But without sacrifice the ending would be not heart felt. So don’t get attached to them cuz you’ll mourn them as I have. I get attached I my characters when I read a book. So. There. But man is this series good. I hope someone will find it and make it into a movie and be as faithful to it as possible. And not woke. Rachael sounds a certain way. And Jason does too.

Creative story telling

The best thing about this series is the long list of imaginative creatures and characters. Just when you expect him to run out of ideas, Brandon Mull comes up with another unique idea. Lots of fun, this book, and the ending doesn't disappoint.

The best books I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading

When I first picked this trilogy it was completely by accident and begged my mother to buy it, she eventually gave into my pleads. After just the prologue I was instantly hooked! Everyday I found myself reading the book more and more getting thoroughly invested into every page. Sadly I misplaced the entire trilogy, but I found this on audible and wow has the last week and a half made me feel amazing the voices that the narrator used were sometimes subtle but conveyed the difference in characters well I loved this and I’ll be listening to all three of the books again very soon

Banger after Banger

Sometimes a special book or series will leave you feeling some type of way after it ends. This is one of those series. Read it or regret it. 11/10

Deep, emotional characters but very heroic too.

I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook. The plot twists and surprises were believable and kept the story moving along nicely. The villain surprised me. He seemed so logical and reasonable at times. But his choices, and the indifference for the suffering caused by those choices, really makes him the monster that must be stopped. I also loved that the heroes weren't perfect - they had their personal weaknesses, insecurities, and struggles - but they each were good enough to make a difference in the fight for freedom. This book, well, the whole series, us one I definitely want my children to know and love!

I love this book, one of my favorite stories.

I love this book, one of my favorite stories. I hope the author writes more stories based in Lyrian.

Great story

I really enjoyed the story. Parts made me cry, but it ended satisfactorily. Worth it. :)
