Pixar Animation Studio's 13th animated feature film, Brave, is an epic adventure set in the rugged and mysterious Highlands of Scotland. Determined to carve her own path in life, a skilled archer named Princess Merida defies a sacred age-old custom - and inadvertently unleashes a beastly curse upon the kingdom. To set things right, Merida embarks on a perilous quest and discovers the meaning of true bravery.
Brave retells the whole exciting story!

Much better narration than some other Disnay Press books. The story line itself is not my favorite.
Excellent accents and inflection!! The way she reads brings up vivid mental images of the action, people and places.
I really don't like Merida's attitude, and don't want my young girls to mirror it. They are too young to comprehend her feelings and relationship with her mother, and to them she just comes across as vindictive and mean. I think this book is better suited to older children with understanding of the cultural differences in attitudes and expectations of different times and places. Otherwise, it's just a spoiled girl taking revenge on her mother, not a mother and daughter gaining understanding of each other through hardship.
a great book for young ladies to read as having problems with their parents especially their mother and how they can see their way through as they get older NC the real world to their mother's eyes
My seven year-old has requested this one at least a couple times now. Very well adaptation of the movie. Rayner's performance is a real treat. Highly recommend.
Brave was an enjoyable listen. The performance was excellent! I can't wait to listen to it with my young girls, it will keep their attention and imaginations going.
