With his marvelous sense of the absurd, Lewis Carroll's whimsical, fantastical tale delighted children and adults when it was first published in 1865 and has since become a treasured classic of literature.

This classic children's tale with its quirky characters and imaginative action is brought to life by the absolute genius of Jim Dale's narration. I honestly think the man could make a mathematics textbook sound exciting!
So Many Books, So Little Time
I'v read this story many times but when I saw that Jim Dale was narrating it I just had to buy it and listen. It was worth every penny and minute. Though the story is one of my favorites from childhood, listening to him read the story was a whole new experience. He is quite simply astonishing. Like he did in his narration of the Harry Potter books, he uses so many unique and wonderful voices that you know which character is which without being told. If you already love this book, you'll love it even more hearing him read it and if you do not know the story you are in for an incredible treat.
Jim Dale brings Lewis Carroll's characters to life as he reads through Alice's Adventures In Wonderland. Jim Dale has a different voice for every character. If you liked the book, you will love this Audiobook. Fall down into Wonderland. Get this book!
Jim Dale does a beautiful read, makes Alice
All of his voices and character changes
Not just for kids
on a quest to listen to the classics with a few others sprinkled in.
When I saw that Jim Dale was the narrator for this classic, it was an easy decision to add to my classic book bucket list. What a treat! Jim Dale brings this story to life. Jim Dale was wonderful in Harry Potter, and a joy to listen to here!
The writing is exceptional. Yes, it's pure non-sense but a lot of fun!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Jim Dale narrating it was just icing on the cake. I grew up watching the disney version. So I asked myself, "why not give the real thing a listen?" The only complaint I have was the story was a little hard to follow, considering all the abnormal goings on in the world of Wonderland. I think another listen would help one understand all the goings on. Overall, a great choice for sure and a strong recommendation from this audible reader.
I'm the managing editor of the Fantasy Literature blog. Life's too short to read bad books!
I've always loved this story and Jim Dale's audio version is superb. My family enjoyed listening to this on a recent car trip.
My name is Kira and I work as a librarian in utah. I love all kinds of books, but especially like fantasy and mystery.
Yes, I loved how Jim Dale narrated it. I've never been able to get through this book until now.
I liked the Mad Tea Party with the March Hare, the Doormouse, and the Mad Hatter. It
Mad Hatter. The character's personality was truly captured.
I read this Alice story as a shortened book for children published by Walt Disney. Because as a child my favorite book was Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, I wanted to read the original story and see what it's like. If that is your reason for getting this title as well, I guess you'll find this original, unabridged version somewhat different from your expectation.
The story is not so simple. I got the impression that Alice's adventures are a little bit meadering. There's no connection between what happens to Alice in the wonderland. Well, you may think that that's the point of this book. Why else it would be called "wonderland?"
Jim Dale's excellent performance is shown in some parts where the narrator has to sing. If a less capable person had done the narration, it would have been really awkward.
If not the story, Jim's great voice acting will be worth listening to this book.
