Terrible narration

The story is pretty good. However, the narrator's whiney voice made it almost painful to listen to the entire book.

Book fantastic, narrator...cringeworthy

I very much enjoyed the story however, the narrator made me cringe every time she was portraying Meg or Charles Wallace because her voice almost sounded to forced. Then at the end of the novel when Meg was saying I love you, it almost sounded x-rated. Had I physically read the book, that is not how I would’ve read that portion. But overall, fantastic story. I hope the movie does it justice.

But.....

Very good novel, but I still have so many questions!! Was the shadow vanquished is the biggest one. It may have been for Meg, but what about the other planets???

It was ok but then I'm an adult

It was ok but then I'm an adult. The narrator did well. I didn't know it would have a spiritual slant not that I'm against that. It was a little slow in some parts and I thought some parts might be over younger ones heads.

good story

I understood it better than I did when I was younger perhaps it is because audibles and dyslexia work better together, perhaps it is because I am older?

Better than expected

Enjoyed it! Literary use of scripture lent a credence to the theme of overcoming our dark times with love.

Amazing

This is my favorite book, so far! I finished it within a couple days because I couldn’t stop listening. My four year old even enjoyed it.

Still the same wonderful book!

Love it as a child and truly on awe of her storing as an adult! I wish my children appreciated her writing as I do but this generation lacks imagination without pictures.

Thank you Mrs. L'Engle for pushing through those hard years and all the rejection. You are truly an inspiration to me as an artist.

Very good book.

The author was way before her time. What people can imagine is beautiful. I am grateful someone took a chance on this novel.

enjoyed

I enjoyed the book but would have probably enjoyed it more if I had read it instead of listening to it. I found the voices distracting.
