Since their mother's death, Carter and Sadie have become near strangers. While Sadie has lived with her grandparents in London, her brother has traveled the world with their father, the brilliant Egyptologist, Dr. Julius Kane. I liked it
This book was the best one out of the series. Chris did a good job narrating. His reading speed was on point with the tone of the novel. I would usually forget that only one person was reading the book because each character voice is so distinct from the next. It took a while to understand him when he spoke French, but I was enjoying the story too much to care. Overall, I recommend this series of books to everyone.

Sooooooooooooooooo good!!! I think the parents who say that this book series is “too intense” or “not for kids” but I’m 11 and absolutely ADORE this series!!! I couldn’t help at laughing at Red more than once 😅😂 so perfect for me

AMAZING!
I LOVED this story! My mom showed me the first book and I’ve been inseparable for a year now and in a month I read ALL the books all I can say now is WOW and once I read the sixth book you have no idea how sad I was!

The beginning of the book starts out like an everyday thing but then, in the middle of the book it gets more interesting when they find the portal. Then, at the end it gets really surprising when they find out who the masked man was and now they have to find out how it was their "dad"
