The Browns first met Paddington on a railway station - Paddington station, in fact. He had travelled all the way from Darkest Peru with only a jar of marmalade, a suitcase, and his hat.
The Browns soon found that Paddington was a very unusual bear. Ordinary things - like having a bath, travelling underground or going to the seaside - became quite extraordinary, if a bear called Paddington was involved.

Love listening to this book after a hard day and when I don't want to think about big stuff before going to sleep. I revert back to childhood, and listen to the stories of this funny little bear.
Good old fashioned story telling. You might also like the mr men collection and the wombles
Can't imagine anyone better to read this audiobook. His performance is wonderful, portraying all the characters with ease.
I forgot what a funny little bear Paddington is, with his aversion to baths and his sidekick Mr Gruber
Great audiobook for adults and children alike.
"Wonderful stories for old and young."
Wonderful childhood experience
Paddington with marmalade sandwiches under his hat.
Paddington flooding the bathroom when he took a bath.
"A perfect combination"
The slightly sly humour of the Paddington stories delivered by the master of sly humour - it's a match made in Heaven. Stephen Fry is the perfect person to capture the essence of Paddington.
It's lovely to hear the full version of the Paddington stories, which are so beautifully written and funny for children and adults alike. And Stephen Fry is the perfect reader for these stories - dry, witty, well-timed. He differentiates each voice very clearly without going over the top. One to enjoy in the car on a long journey again and again and again.
The best written and read story to listen to in the whole wide world. Ever. Ever.
I learned to read and, more importantly, discovered an interest in writing in an amusing style from growing up with Paddington books. Even as an adult I occasionally like to go back and read (or in this case, listen) to them.
Michael Bond, genius!
Absolutely. It's a classic and nostalgic story. Also, Stephen Fry is perfect at narrating this story.
The crazy antics Paddington has to go through with every new adventure.
It's so hard to pick! Stephen Fry is brilliant at narrating stories and no one could do a better job than he does for this story.
I Would give the story a 5 if I wasn't 36 (a little beyond the target audience!). Lovely to revisit.
