The book's three-part framework begins with a discussion of the greatness of the American ideal (including the importance of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the notions of individual and civil liberties), transitions to an examination of the history and overarching narrative of Marxist ideology (specifically Marx's and Engels' Communist Manifesto wherein the oppressor vs. oppressed narrative is developed), and concludes by looking into the ongoing transformation of America's military culture and military policy, while also providing a warning about where the country is headed if we choose to not make an immediate course correction.

Shack! This on target relevant read brings to the surface in a cohesive manner just what our current military and society is dealing with. Outstanding work! Keep up the good fight.

Required reading

We can only hope the "Experiment" is not a lost cause. "A Republic if You Can keep it." Matthew has exposed the "dark side" that is becoming the leadership of our military. The 'ship' of state must be re-coursed or all will be lost. The you for your service.

Must read for members of the military

As an officer in the Army, I share many of the concerns outlined and described by Lohmeier. His overview of communist ideology and the current movement to deconstruct the institution of the military is invaluable for service members wrestling with these questions.

Could have been longer and provided more detail. Like did he get kicked out of military or what?

An eye opening book.

This is a book that I will have to get a printed copy of to highlight and take notes.

Truth matters an deception is real!

Matthew Lohmeier does an outstanding job laying out the playbook of the Marxist revolution attempting to take over our nation and infiltrating all areas of our society, including the armed services. We must all do our part to dispel the lies that are being said against our nation, our military, snd the service members that have sworn an oath to the Constitution of our great nation. Young people today need a purpose greater than themselves and the BLM and radical ideologies can be very appealing. I recommend anyone sitting on the fence that has observed over the years the entrenchment of Marxist ideology to our society, to open their eyes and look and see. Quick hiding your heads in the sand. We need to be United in loving this great nation, people of all backgrounds and creeds, and speaking the truth about what we see.

Excellent book. Pertinent information from a knowledgeable source, not simply someone regurgitating crap from social media. Thank you Mr. Lohmeier for your frank relation of the current precipice our Republic is facing and your advice on how we can "fight" and defend our Homeland and our homes.

Lohmeier's Work is a Must Read to Save America

Lohmeier has written a thoughtful treatise on the dangers of Critical Race Theory and Marxism afflicting the US Military and the United States of America. His insights are well-developed. His tone is respectful and calm while also candid and truthful. This book is a must-read for saving America from communism.

Necessary read

Everyone should read this book to educate themselves on past and current political ideas both in the military and in society in general. Even if you think you disagree with Lohmeier, read this and be open to debate. Many of the things he talks about are things we have experienced in our 10 years in the military. It’s a very academic book which I appreciated because his arguments are factual rather than emotional and are backed up by data.

A must read for our country to survive.
